1. Pôr de lado a bicicleta quando os termómetros começarem a marcar 0-5ºC.

2. Desistir completamente da bicicleta em temperaturas negativas.

3. Não voltar a usar a bicicleta mesmo quando as temperaturas voltarem ligeira e temporariamente aos graus positivos. (Burra!)

4. Em caso de grande apego à bicicleta, usar pneus especiais. E capacete… SEMPRE!

Caso as condições 1, 2, 3 e 4 não sejam aplicadas, é corrido o sério risco de se cair da bicicleta em pleno andamento, esbardalhar-se no chão e doer. Muito. Especialmente no dia seguinte.

Não faço ideia a quem isto acabou de acontecer. São só conselhos aleatórios.

1. Put the bike away when the thermometer starts showing 0-5ºC.

2. Totally give up on the bike with negative temperatures.

3. Do not restart using the bike even when the temperature slightly and temporarily returns to plus degrees. (Dumb!)

4. In case of real bonding friendship to the bike, use tires with spikes. And helmet... ALWAYS!

If conditions 1, 2, 3 and 4 are not met, there’s a serious risk of falling from the bike when biking, hit the floor hard and feeling pain. A lot. Specially the day after.

I have no idea who this just happened to. It's just random advices.

Neve, vieste tão cedo... | Snow, you came so early...

Já foi tempo de esperar ansiosamente por uma manhã com neve. Acordar e ver tudo branquinho. Que sonho! Lembro-me que aconteceu duas vezes na minha vida antes de chegar à Escandinávia e foi alegria pela certa.

Agora é só chato. Quer dizer, ver a paisagem de dentro de casa, no quentinho, continua a ser bonito. Mas há uma vida para viver, e é preciso sair de casa. E isso, no meio da neve e do frio de toooodos os dias, é só chato.

Antigamente, nevar significava ter um dia de folga da escola. Filas e filas no Marão, porque não estávamos preparados para ter que limpar neve (meu querido Portugal!). Aqui é “só mais um dia normal”.

Hoje foi o primeiro dia de neve por aqui. Há-de parar por uns dias/semanas, mas depois há-de ser assim até ao final do Inverno. Quiçá Primavera. E isso é só chato.

There was a time when waking up with snow was a dream. Too see everything in white outside. I remember that happened twice in my life before I came to Scandinavia. Those were two happy days.

Now it’s just annoying. I mean, to look at a such beautiful landscape from inside, where it’s warm, it’s always nice and cosy. But there’s a life to live and one should go out anyway. And that, when it’s snowing and cold, can be very annoying.

Before, snow meant a free day from school and long car queues along the portuguese mountains, because we were not prepared and trained to clean up snow out of the roads (my dear Portugal!). Here, this is “just another day at the office”.

Today was the first day with snow. It will stop for some days/weeks, but it will also be like this until the Winter is over. Or maybe the Spring. And that’s just annoying.

Pessoa em Oslo | Pessoa in Oslo

Em 2014, o norueguês Christian Kjelstrup abriu em Oslo a “Livraria do Desassossego” por uma semana, onde vendeu exclusivamente o “Livro do Desassossego”, de Fernando Pessoa. Em norueguês, Uroens bok. Até os Príncipes herdeiros foram comprar um exemplar. Fui um sucesso – 1600 cópias numa semana! A livraria pop-up foi apoiada pela Embaixada Portuguesa em Oslo e, para dar um ambiente mais português à livraria, o norueguês contou com a ajuda do emigrante português Joel Oliveira, que tocou guitarra portuguesa para os visitantes.

Christian Kjelstrup admira Fernando Pessoa, e tem o Livro do Desassossego como a melhor obra literária do mundo. Orgulho!

Fernando Pessoa (1888-1935) foi um escritor português que escreveu seu trabalho sob vários heterónimos, sendo os mais importantes Alberto Caeiro, Álvaro de Campos e Ricardo Reis. O "Livro do Desassossego" foi escrito sob o pseudónimo Bernardo Soares e publicado postumamente, em 1982. Foi destaque no Top 100 Obras em Literatura Mundial.

Nesse ano, o norueguês levou ainda a livraria até ao Chiado, em Lisboa, e mais tarde… a uma ilha norueguesa no Ártico, Svalbard.

In 2014, the Norwegian Christian Kjelstrup opened the “Bookstore of Disquiet” in Oslo, for one week, to sell Fernando Pessoa’s “The Book of Disquiet” exclusively. In Norwegian, Uroens bok. Even the Crown Princes went there to buy a copy. I was a success - 1600 copies in one week! The pop-up bookstore was supported by the Portuguese Embassy in Oslo, and in order to get a Portuguese atmosphere, the Norwegian had the help of the Portuguese emigrant Joel Oliveira, who played Portuguese guitar for the visitors.

Christian Kjelstrup admires Fernando Pessoa, and has “The Book of Disquiet” as the best literary work in the world. Proud of that!

Pessoa (1888-1935) was a a Portuguese writer who penned his work under several heteronyms, the most important of them being Alberto Caeiro, Álvaro de Campos and Ricardo Reis. "The Book of Disquiet" was actually written under the pseudonym Bernardo Soares and published posthumously, in 1982. It was featured in the Top 100 Works in World Literature.

In the same year, the Norwegian took the bookstore to Chiado, in Lisboa, and later… to a Norwegian island in the Artic, Svalbard.
