Nunca vesti e despi tanto

It was one of the greatest adventures I've ever
had. Traveling for nine hours to go on a tour that included kayaking and
walking on a gaciar. On a glacier!!! How cool is this?? That thing that's
been there for thousands of years (to melt at a frightening pace, we all know,
but still, there) and we can walk on it.
I’ve never put on and taken off so much
equipment in so little time in my life, but it was worth every second spent on
that.
First the kayaking, waterproof bags filled with
food and a change of clothes, a waterproof suit as well and then… just enjoy...
Lunch under heavy rain, great for the mind, and
put on new clothes again for the adventure on the glacier. Protection and more
protection - ropes, harness, shoes with spikes, ice hammer. All in a line,
connected to each other, for the damage to be minor.
Unfortunately we could not walk very far,
because global warming is crap and has melted the ice we needed to progress.
But it was still great! One day I will tell my grandchildren "Once upon a
time there were still glaciers..."
