Situação:

Eu, toda contente, porque finalmente já consigo ter uma conversa que faça sentido em norueguês com outras pessoas que não o meu bacalhau.

Desafios:

1) Tentar não fazer muito má figura;

2) Tentar que essas pessoas não mudem imediatamente para o inglês quando se apercebem que não sou uma delas;

3) Tentar não fazer muito má figura.

Exemplo 1:

– O que achas da situação actual dos EUA?

– Eu acho que… humm… uhhhh... (suor frio)

– Inglês?

Exemplo 2:

(Conversa já longa com alguém. Simples, mas longa. Yupppi!!! Já no fim: )

– Desculpe, qual é o seu nome mesmo? (É importante fixar o nome das pessoas que têm paciência para connosco!)

– Gunnar. Significava “guerra”, em linguagem antiga. Mas eu sou da peace. E também sou inteligente, porque percebi logo que não é norueguesa.

(Tumbaaaaaaaas!)

Exemplo 3:

– Desculpe, podia dar-me uma informação?

(Yes! Mega oportunidade de praticar norueguês com uma pessoa aleatória!)

– Para que lado fica a piscina de Bislett?

– Não faço ideia.

Eu chego lá. EU CHEGO LÁÁÁÁÁÁ!!!

Status:

Me, super proud of myself, because finally I manage to have a conversation that makes sense in Norwegian with someone else than my Bacalhau.

Challenge:

1) Try not to sound stupid;

2) Try that those people don’t immediately switch to English when they realize that I’m not one of them;

3) Try not to sound stupid.

Example 1:

– What do you think about the political situation in the USA?

– I think ... humm ... uhhhh ... (cold sweat)

– English?

Example 2:

(After a long talk with someone. Simple, but long. Yupppi!!!)

– Sorry, what's your name again? (It is important to remember the name of those who are patient with you)

– Gunnar. It meant "war," in the old language. But I'm for peace. And I'm smart as well, because I realized right away that you’re not Norwegian.

Example 3:

(Yes! Great opportunity to practice Norwegian with a random person!)
