Hoje é o dia. Os três Fs que (reduzidamente)
caracterizam o nosso país acontecem em simultâneo. Coincidências.
Fátima
13 de Maio. 100 anos de Fátima. Papa
por perto. Acredite-se ou não, o que se tem passado naquele santuário ontem e
hoje mostra que a Fé ainda une as pessoas e não pode fazer mal a ninguém. Pelo contrário.
Futebol
Não me podia estar mais nas
tintas. Há muito que já não tenho paciência para o futebol (muito menos para as
novelas que acontecem fora do campo). Ah, e trata-se do Benfica…
Fado
Ok, não é bem fado. Mas é música
portuguesa. “F” de Festival da Canção também serve. Já se disse tudo (de bom e
de mau) sobre o Salvador. Mas pela primeira vez desde que me lembro, a grande
maioria vibra com a música, com o rapaz e com o Festival da Canção. Por isso não
importa o que aconteça esta noite. Se ele fica com o primeiro lugar ou não. O feito
de unir um país (e arredores) à volta de uma música em português, cantada para
o mundo, já ninguém tira ao moço! Boa sorte, Salvador!

country happen simultaneously. Coincidences.
Fátima
13th of May. 100 years of Fátima. The Pope is
in Portugal. You can read HERE why Fátima is important for our country, as a catholic
country. Believe it or not, what has been happening in that sanctuary yesterday
and today shows that Faith still connects people and it does not hurt anyone. On
the contrary.
Football
The winner of the Portuguese Leage can be decided today, but I couldn’t care less. I have no patience for
football anymore (even less for the soap operas built up outside the football field).
Ah, and it’s all about Benfica today…
Fado
Ok, it’s not exactly fado, our traditional
music. But it’s Portuguese music. Let’s make it “F” of “Festival da Canção” (how
we call the Eurovision Song Contest), then. All has already been said (good and
bad) about Salvador, the one who will sing for Portugal. But for the first time
since I remember, the majority vibrates with the song, the guy and the contest
itself. So, it doesn’t really matter what will happen tonight. Whether he gets or
not the first place. He has already united a country around a song in
Portuguese, sung to the world, and that’s already a huge achievement! Good
luck, Salvador!
